Hi I’m Amy, a veterinary physiotherapist with a love for making animals feel better again. I know how hard it is when you want to help your best friend but have no idea where to turn. You may even want to start being proactive early in your animals life to help prevent age related issues creeping in. With guidance and support, I can help you help your best friend too.

So, where did it all begin? It began with my adorable cocker spaniel, Mr Boo. I always knew I had to do a job with animals when I was older, they were the only things I truly adored. I completed my first degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare back in 2015. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do yet, but it was a step in the right direction to working with animals.

After a few years of different jobs, I struggled to know which direction to go in. In the meantime, Mr Boo had a shoulder injury and needed some physiotherapy to help build up his strength. It transformed him and he became so much stronger and had stopped tripping on walks. I decided, THIS WAS FOR ME.

I emailed the University of Nottingham and with a day to spare to submit my application, I GOT IN!! So I guess the rest is history, I qualified in 2020 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy and haven’t looked back since. I’m registered with The Institute of Registered Veterinary & Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP).

Life since then has been busy. I live in Mid Wales with my lovely husband, Rich. We have a beautiful daughter, a diva cat and of course, the reason I started all of this, Mr Boo.

So, how can I help your animal?

Well, I can teach you all of the skills, techniques and knowledge I wish I had known sooner. Whether your pet is young or old, prevention is still better than cure and it is never too late to start.

A saying that has always stuck in my mind is ‘If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life’. I am grateful for this every, single, day.
